Delegate Information
The
Wire & Gas Training Convention and Trade Show is hosted by
VASA (Automotive Air conditioning, Electrical and Cooling
Technicians of Australasia) and is the only event totally
dedicated to these industry sectors in Australasia. VASA had
held highly successful annual Conventions, mainly focused on
mobile air conditioning, from 1994 to 2001. In 2002, VASA
joined with the then Australian Association of Automotive
Electricians to present an event which covered auto
electricians as well as air conditioning technicians. These
two associations have since merged into VASA and the Wire &
Gas Training Convention and Trade Show is now held every two
years.
The 2010 event will be held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, from Friday 11 June to Monday 14 June. The focus is on a first class training program, combined with a vibrant Trade Show, with minimum time devoted to speakers. The theme this year is “tee up for training” reflecting the return of the once popular golf tournament, and the fact that the Royal Pines Resort sits virtually in the centre of the rolling greens of a championship course.
A sub-theme,
Learn to Earn, highlights VASA's aim to provide as many
trainers as possible to help expand industry knowledge and
encourage technicians to engage in continuous skills
development.
With a return to developing programs for family and partners, this Convention promises to be an ideal opportunity to keep up to speed with your industry, share knowledge, make new friends and contacts, attend exciting training courses and generally have a good time socially. Those planning to bring family for a winter break, can take advantage of the special Convention room rate for the duration of their stay.

Delegate
Registration is for the duration of the convention and is
for all official convention activities (excluding Golf) such
as the Welcome Reception & Trade Show Opening, all plenary
and training sessions and the Gala dinner. Inclusions are
daily catering, i.e. morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch, and
the Convention satchel.
There will be no
partial, or day, registrations however additional tickets
are available for the social functions.
All registrations
are to be done on an individual basis (i.e. 1 per Delegate) on
the Delegate Registration Form with the completed document,
accompanied by payment, returned to

Payment
All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST. Payments may be
made on-line, by cheque or credit card.
On-line payments –
a completed Delegate Registration Form accompanied with a
payment confirmation slip is to be returned to Wire and Gas
For payment by credit card, the details must be entered
onto the Delegate Registration form and the completed form
returned to Wire and Gas.
Cheques and bank drafts must be
made out in Australian dollars, drawn on an Australian bank
and free of all charges and must accompany the completed
Delegate Registration Form.
A tax invoice will be issued
upon receipt, and completion, of payment
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations will only be accepted in
writing. These must be before 28 May 2010 and will incur a
25% penalty to cover administration costs. No refunds will
be made after this date.
As an alternative, registration
may be transferred to another person without penalty
providing a note of authorisation, with the new details, is
forwarded to Wire and Gas.
