Exhibitor Briefing

As stated in the Exhibitor Kit, all exhibitors will be invited to a meeting and briefing session at Royal Pines Resort.  This has now been finalised and the details are –  

Date: Monday 22 March Time: 1.00pm – 4.00pm

Location: Royal Pine Resort – Convention Lobby  

Program/Agenda  
1. Welcome and brief presentation by the Convention Committee
2. Kristie McQuillan (Senior Events Co-ordinator, RACV Royal Pines Resort) - introduction and overview of Resort matters 3. Bruce McEwen (Project Consultant, PYRAMID DISPLAYS) – brief on displays, layouts and options
4. Presentation of the floor plan and update of booth allocation
5. Familiarisation of the convention area, layout and access points (vehicle, load-in, load-out).
6. Open forum. Bruce will be available to discuss individual booth requirements.
7. Happy hour  

Floor Plan and Booth Allocations  

The floor plan has been finalised and booths will be allocated in this order –  

1. Sponsors will have first choice in order of their sponsorship levels - Gold, Silver then Bronze. This is underway now and we anticipate completion by 15 March.
2. The floor plan will be promulgated and Exhibitors asked to choose a number of booths listed in order of preference.
3. Booths will be allocated on a first come (i.e. first paid) first served basis in order of preference and confirmed by email or in writing by myself (Convention Co-ordinator).  

If you are unable to attend this meeting, please forward any special requirements that may affect your booth allocation.   RSVP   This meeting is open to all Exhibitors, or a representative there of. We understand that it is not practical, or possible, for all exhibitors to be in attendance. Therefore we ask you to advise us accordingly of your attendance intentions.   Those who cannot attend will be sent a report on the meeting.

 

Exhibitor Information

The Wire & Gas Training Convention and Trade Show is hosted by VASA (Automotive Air conditioning, Electrical and Cooling Technicians of Australasia) and is the only event totally dedicated to these industry sectors in Australasia.  VASA had held highly successful annual Conventions, mainly focused on mobile air conditioning, from 1994 to 2001. In 2002, VASA joined with the then Australian Association of Automotive Electricians to present an event which covered auto electricians as well as air conditioning technicians. These two associations have since merged into VASA and the Wire & Gas Training Convention and Trade Show is now held every two years.

The 2010 event will be held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, from Friday 11 June to Monday 14 June. The focus is on a first class training program, combined with a vibrant Trade Show, with minimum time devoted to speakers. The theme this year is “tee up for training” reflecting the return of the once popular golf tournament, and the fact that the Royal Pines Resort sits virtually in the centre of the rolling greens of a championship course.
